Consensus Heartbeats

All organic creatures have hearts. A heart beats faster as a function of physical exertion or fear. When a gazelle encounters a lion, its heart rapidly increases in beating frequency to pump sufficient oxygen through the cardiovascular system to be able to escape.

What about synthetic creatures? Does Ethereum have a heart? If so, can we measure it?

The anatomy of a synthetic heart. Commissioned work (1/3).

Thread (1): Organizing Metadata

There are secrets hidden within the Consensus Heartbeats collection. A selection (~13 pieces) of them is very rare and depicts several key events in the history of the EVM. Once all Consensus Heartbeats are minted, I will mint the block description for each piece on-chain. The first person to create a full correct list of these events (tokenID and event) will receive 3% of primary sales. This information will not be curated by me. As long as this information is not curated, the most important rarity aspect of this project will not be revealed.

Thread (2): Algorithm Decentralization

Coding languages change, dependencies break, libraries are updated. One of the best way of ensuring a decentralized survival of the intimate understanding of an art project is by replicating the code across programming languages and humans involved. The code used to generate Consensus Heartbeats will be minted on-chain after all pieces are sold out. Once this happens, the community is encouraged to use the code as a template to recreate Consensus Heartbeats in two different languages (Python and C++). You are allowed to create a personal reinterpretation of the algorithm. In that vein you can consider the minted available code (by me) as one possible interpretation of how the heart and heartbeat of the EVM would look like. Similarly to how the visual output of Autoglyphs represents one interpretation of its instruction set. The first two people / teams who recreate this will be rewarded with 3 (py) and 4 (c) % of primary sales.

Thread (3): Imbuing Value

This will remain a secret until collection is fully minted out.
